We invite you to a workshop dedicated to those who feel they carry more than their own story.

Sometimes, fear is not clear. It has no specific name and no explainable reason. It creeps into choices, relationships, the way you procrastinate, avoid, or stay too long in a place that no longer supports you. 

You may feel it as restraint. As mistrust. Or as the need to control. And often, you don’t even call it fear. In order to address it, you need to encounter it, to observe how it manifests itself in your life now and what changes when you stop fighting it. 

When we approach stories from our family history, we create it and keep it to protect what arose in a moment of loss of security. You may recognize it in different ways: fear of loss, fear of abandonment, fear of change. These fears can be shadows of old stories — losses, separations, silences, or pains that were never experienced — carried forward in the body and in life as constant vigilance.

We invite you to “The 50 Shades of Fear” to discover what you can change to find your solutions, clarify your direction, and live your life the way you want.

About the facilitator: 

Cristina Schmidt is an associate professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Bucharest, psychotherapist, coach and trainer, Co-chair of the International Committee of the American Association for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama. In 2024, she was awarded the prestigious Zerka Moreno Award by the American Association for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP). Throughout her international career, Cristina Schmidt has taught university courses and delivered lectures to the general public in the US, Indonesia, Italy, Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt. Together with Daniela Damian, she founded the Institute for Transgenerational Psychotherapy and Psychogenealogy and the International Center for Psychogenealogy, centers where she created the first comprehensive training program for professionals in Transgenerational Psychotherapy and the first study group dedicated to professionals involved in transgenerational work.
